Meshy T2.5 builds a 3D mesh directly at the triangle count you ask for. Older pipelines generate a dense mesh and retopologize it afterwards, which loses detail and needs cleanup before the asset can ship. T2.5 targets the budget up front, so a 15000-triangle prop comes back at roughly 15000 triangles and goes straight into an engine. ComfyUI exposes it through two partner nodes: Meshy: Text to Model (Smart Topology) and Meshy: Image to Model (Smart Topology). Both are cloud API nodes that need a Comfy account with credits and download no model files locally. Each returns a GLB file and an FBX file, and the templates write the GLB with a Save GLB node. T2.5 is the mode for props, environment dressing, and low-poly game assets where a predictable triangle count matters. For rigging, animation, and the full asset pipeline, use Meshy 7 instead.
To use the Partner Nodes, you need to ensure that you are logged in properly and using a permitted network environment. Please refer to the Partner Nodes Overview section of the documentation to understand the specific requirements for using the Partner Nodes.
Make sure your ComfyUI is updated.Workflows in this guide can be found in the Workflow Templates. If you can’t find them in the template, your ComfyUI may be outdated. If nodes are missing when loading a workflow, possible reasons:
  1. You are not using the latest ComfyUI version (Nightly version)
  2. Some nodes failed to import at startup

Available workflows

Text to Model (Smart Topology)

Describe the object and the mesh is built at the budget you set. No input files are needed. Meshy T2.5: Text to Model workflow preview

Example prompts
  • A weathered wooden treasure chest with iron banding, a rounded lid and a rusted lock plate, standing open with a few gold coins inside, standalone game prop, clean silhouette
  • Low-poly stone lantern covered in moss, chipped edges, wide base, neutral studio lighting
  • Sci-fi crate with recessed panel lines and a lit status strip, boxy silhouette, no text

Image to Model (Smart Topology)

Turn a single image into an engine-ready mesh. Texturing is optional and can run with PBR maps at 2k, 4k, or 8k. Meshy T2.5: Image to Model workflow preview

Input material

Load into the LoadImage node
texture_prompt and texture_image cannot be used together: guide the texture with one or the other, or leave both empty and let the source image drive it.

Node controls

The node outputs meshy_task_id, GLB, and FBX. Save GLB writes the file from the GLB output, not from the task id or the FBX output.

Prompting tips

  • Name the object and the silhouette. Standalone game prop, clean silhouette, no text keeps the model from adding a scene, a base, or lettering you then have to remove.
  • State the budget before you generate. Changing target_polycount afterwards means a new generation, so decide whether the asset is a hero prop or background dressing first.
  • Describe material, not lighting rigs. Surface words such as weathered wood, iron banding, rusted lock plate survive into the mesh and the texture. Studio lighting words only affect how the preview reads.
  • Use pose_mode only for characters. A-pose or T-pose gives a rig-friendly stance. Props are better left on empty.
  • Texture after the shape is right. Run once without texturing, check the silhouette, then turn should_texture on for the final pass.
  • Do not expect the same mesh twice. The seed only decides whether the node re-runs, so a re-run is a new result.
