Topaz Astra Video Creative Upscale is available in ComfyUI through the Topaz partner nodes. It upscales and enhances video with the Starlight (Astra) Fast model, optionally combined with apo-8 frame interpolation to raise the frame rate. The workflow accepts MP4 input and produces enhanced MP4 output.
To use the Partner Nodes, you need to ensure that you are logged in properly and using a permitted network environment. Please refer to the Partner Nodes Overview section of the documentation to understand the specific requirements for using the Partner Nodes.
Make sure your ComfyUI is updated.Workflows in this guide can be found in the Workflow Templates. If you can’t find them in the template, your ComfyUI may be outdated.If nodes are missing when loading a workflow, possible reasons:
  1. You are not using the latest ComfyUI version (Nightly version)
  2. Some nodes failed to import at startup

Workflow overview

This workflow uses three nodes:
  • LoadVideo: provides the source video
  • TopazVideoEnhanceV2: the core node, configured with the Starlight (Astra) Fast upscaler model
  • SaveVideo: saves the enhanced video

Steps to run

  1. Load a video: connect your MP4 video to the LoadVideo node
  2. Select the upscaler: keep Starlight (Astra) Fast on the TopazVideoEnhanceV2 node
  3. Set resolution: FullHD (1080p) or 4K (2160p)
  4. Optional frame interpolation: switch the interpolation model to apo-8 to raise the frame rate
  5. Click Queue: press Ctrl+Enter to generate
