Seedream 5.0 Pro layer separation workflow

Layer separation is the layer-decomposition pillar of Seedream 5.0 Pro’s interactive precision editing. It splits a single flat image into an editable stack: one base image (background plate) plus up to 16 independent transparent layers, each with its stacking order, bounding-box coordinates, name, and semantic description. Regions hidden behind extracted subjects are seamlessly inpainted, so every layer and the base beneath it is a complete, standalone design asset ready for dragging, scaling, and recomposition. With no prompt at all, the model automatically identifies every major element: text blocks, subjects, decorations, and background. A single poster can yield 10+ layers, with design-grade text separation that supports multilingual headlines and CJK fonts. You can also describe elements in natural language to control the separation, or target exact regions with bounding-box tags. The workflow is ideal for brand design, e-commerce asset creation, poster iteration, and any task where a flat bitmap needs to become an editable layered document.
